Environmental Site Assessments

          GEO-HAZ performs Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), following the newly-revised specifications of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM standard E-1527-00). Phase 1 ESAs are often required by lending agencies involved in the sale or transfer of commercial or industrial properties.

The purpose of a Phase 1 ESA is to determine whether previous ownership and uses of a site were consistent with environmentally sound practice, and to investigate, determine, and analyze risks associated with the existence of hazardous materials, petroleum products, and/or toxic chemicals in the soil or groundwater at the site. GEO-HAZ  attempts to determine if the site has been contaminated by past activities and if present operations conducted on the site represent a risk of contaminating the site.
